Christmas Holly Day Mix

“My mom has been making this holly mix every Christmas season for as long as I can remember. It's been gifted to every teacher, present at every holiday party, and served to every friend I've ever had. It's so easy and always a crowd pleaser.”

What pairs best with this recipe?

This recipe pairs best with a holiday party amongst old and new friends. Vince Guaraldi Trio on the stereo, 24-hour “A Christmas Story” marathon on the TV, and a balsam candle burning on the windowsill.

What were some of your 2024 obsessions?

“Big Brother 26”, Ina Garten, Ayo Edebiri, “Challengers” and its soundtrack, everyone finally recognizing Sabrina Carpenter's star power, “The Bear”, “Dance Life” on Prime, “Funny Story” by Emily Henry, “Deeper Well” by Kacey Musgraves

  • 1 box corn flakes

  • 1 box Kix cereal

  • 1 bag butter flavor microwave popcorn

  • 1 bag each of white, red, and green Wilton ""melts"" chocolate wafers

Pour cornflakes in a large dish. Melt the green wafers, and pour the chocolate over the cornflakes, mixing to ensure all are covered. Transfer and spread on wax paper to cool (steal some of the wax paper to snack on while you work on the other colors). Repeat with the red wafers and Kix cereal, and white wafers with the popcorn. After everything has cooled, mix in a large serving dish and enjoy!"
