Golden Oreo Banana Pudding
“I'm obsessed with this recipe because my family is obsessed with banana pudding, and I started making it a couple years ago, and it's always a big hit. I also bring it to my boyfriend's family's occasions because they're obsessed with it as well!”

Ingredients:
4 Tbsp Butter
2/3 Cup Flour
1.5 Cups Sugar
4 Cups Whole Milk
6 Egg Yolks (No Whites)
1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
1 Tbsp Vanilla Bean Paste
2 Tsp Clear Vanilla Extract
6-8 Bananas
4 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
4 Tbsp Powdered Sugar
4 Tsp Cornstarch
1 Package of Golden Oreos
(1) 9”x13” glass baking pan
Directions:
Create a Double-Boiler. Put water in a saucepan and heat it to a rolling boil, once boiling, put a large bowl over the saucepan. Make sure the water doesn’t come in contact with the bowl. If it does, remove some water. The bowl should be large enough so it sits on the rim of the saucepan.
Add 4 tbsp butter, 2/3 cup flour, and 1.5 cups sugar to the bowl and whisk together.
Slowly whisk in 4 cups of whole milk (add a half cup at a time). Make sure its completely whisked before adding more milk. Once added, continue whisking for 10-12 mins until its slightly thickened.
Temper the 6 egg yolks. Have your egg yolks in a separate bowl and beaten. Ladle a few tablespoons of the hot milk mixture into the bowl of beaten egg yolks. Whisk. Add until you’ve added about half a cup of liquid to the yolks. Whisk.
Whisk the tempered egg yolks into the bowl of pudding. Continue to whisk on and off for 12-15 mins. It will thicken even more.
Remove the bowl from the heat. Stir in the 1 tbsp vanilla extract, 2 tsp clear vanilla extract & 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste. Set the pudding bowl aside to make the whipped cream
Use a separate bowl with a hand mixer or stand mixer to whisk/beat the 4 cups heavy cream, 4 tbsp powdered sugar and 4 tsp of cornstarch. Beat on high for 5-6 mins until it forms stiff peaks.
Line your 9”x13” glass baking pan with a layer of golden Oreos on the bottom. Add a layer of sliced banana pieces, then add in a layer of your pudding, and add a layer of your whipped cream. Repeat this and top with golden Oreos on top.
Store in the fridge for at least 8 hours before serving so the pudding and whipped cream can settle and get to know the other ingredients in the pan.
