Ingredients:
450g phyllo dough (12 sheets)
4 eggs
200g sugar
250g Greek yogurt
250ml sunflower oil
2 tsp baking powder
Zest of 2 oranges
For Syrup:
500ml water
400g sugar
Peel of 1 orange
1 cinnamon stick
Instructions:
Prepare Syrup: Boil water, sugar, orange peel, and cinnamon for 10 minutes. Cool completely.
Prep Phyllo: Tear phyllo into small pieces; leave to dry out for 30 minutes.
Make Batter: Whisk eggs and sugar until frothy. Mix in yogurt, oil, baking powder, and orange zest.
Combine: Fold in dried phyllo pieces until evenly mixed.
Bake: Pour into a greased 9x13"" pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40-45 minutes.
Add Syrup: Pour cold syrup over hot cake. Let absorb before serving.
Enjoy chilled or at room temperature!
